Size the 180–320kW truck platform from route and dwell time
Heavy-duty charging should begin with vehicle battery capacity, daily energy use, arrival state of charge, return-to-route deadline and connector acceptance. This platform covers 180kW, 240kW and 320kW project configurations; the selected output, cable and cooling arrangement must match the real truck fleet and depot or corridor duty.
Fit and operating boundaries
Translate the route schedule into required energy per vehicle and available charging minutes. A 320kW nameplate is useful only when the vehicle can accept the power and the site can sustain it.
For two CCS2 outputs, define the allocation rule during simultaneous truck sessions and the minimum power each priority vehicle must receive before departure.
Confirm battery-voltage range, cable current and cooling, ambient and altitude derating, transformer capacity, demand limit, optional BESS buffering and remote diagnostics. MCS is a separate interface and is not implied by this CCS2 platform.
Fleet duty
Provide vehicle count, battery size, daily energy, arrival SOC and departure deadline.
Power tier
Choose 180kW, 240kW or 320kW from the dwell window and site power—not from fleet size alone.
Dual-output rule
Define connector priority, simultaneous allocation and the minimum power per active truck.
Depot readiness
Share transformer, tariff, demand limit, layout, cable reach, environment and maintenance plan.
Technical and compliance file package
For qualified heavy-duty projects, SUNFULL can privately provide the available platform datasheet, electrical and installation information, output-allocation description, thermal and service scope, protocol function list, FAT checklist and applicable compliance files after the selected 180/240/320kW configuration is confirmed.

Convert the route schedule into a 180–320kW charger requirement
Heavy-duty charging should be sized from energy per vehicle, available dwell time, simultaneous bays and site capacity—not from the highest cabinet rating alone.
| RFQ input | What the buyer should provide | Why it changes the platform review |
|---|---|---|
| Route energy | Vehicle count, battery range, arrival state of charge and energy required before the next dispatch. | Defines the energy the depot must deliver during each parking window. |
| Dwell window | Arrival/departure schedule, overnight base load and emergency daytime top-up cases. | Determines whether lower-power parallel charging or fewer higher-power bays fit the operation. |
| Power sharing | Number of connectors, simultaneous vehicles and required allocation rules. | Prevents cabinet rating from being confused with guaranteed power at every connector. |
| Site conditions | Transformer capacity, ambient range, cable reach, connector standard and expected vehicle voltage window. | Supports review of derating, thermal management, cable handling and future expansion. |
Continuous and peak conditions must be written into the RFQ
Ask the quotation to separate cabinet rating, connector allocation, vehicle-dependent charging power and any temperature or voltage limitations. MCS should not be assumed from a CCS2 heavy-truck page; request it only when a separately reviewed platform and project scope are available.
Plan the complete fleet-depot charging workflow →Questions to settle before quotation
How should a fleet choose 180kW, 240kW or 320kW?
Use energy required per vehicle, arrival state of charge, departure deadline, charging curve and site power to choose the tier.
Does this CCS2 truck platform include MCS?
No MCS capability should be assumed from a CCS2 configuration. MCS requires separately confirmed hardware, communication and interoperability scope.
Can battery storage reduce the required grid peak?
It can support peak buffering in some projects, but capacity and power must be sized from charging sessions, transformer limit, tariff and recharge window.
